I recently started using Maskcara makeup, and I am in LOVE. I wanted to try it out for awhile before I made a blog post about it so I could share my honest opinion. There are two things that caught my attention with this brand – the first thing is THE PACKAGING! I mean, marbled cases – enough said. And the other thing is that all of the face products are CREAM BASED! I know – intriguing, right?!
Cara Brook started this brand, and her mission in creating this makeup was that she wanted to find a quick, yet effective approach to applying makeup. She also wanted a more efficient way to bring out all of our best features – introducing a better approach to HAC (highlight and contour)! Since this makeup is cream based, it takes some playing around with before you get used to it. It took about three times to do my makeup before I figured out the best way to apply, and how to make it last, etc. But I promise, the first time you put it on your skin, you are going to LOVE the way your skin looks!! That is what drew me to this brand! I was so tired of putting a bunch of different powders all over my face only to make me look OLDER AND MORE DRY! Not cute. The basics of this makeup are :
HIGHLIGHT (foundation shade)
CONTOUR (contour shade)
BLUSH (lip + cheek colors that literally glide on)
ILLUMINATOR (illuminates the high points of your face — so pretty!)
There is also a whole line of eyeshadows, a setting powder, her amazing skincare line that I am dying to try, and a whole line of brushes! You can create your own palette, and there are a bunch of different sizes of palettes! So go check it all out because it’s seriously amazing! Happy shopping!
If you need help with color matching or have questions about anything, let me know!

Then there is this AMAZING setting spray… it smells like coconuts. So that’s what sold me on this. Anything coconut — it’s mine.
